Wood carving is a form of art with a wood as a material and by  cutting tools (knife) in one hand or a chisel with both hands and with one hand in one hand chisel and hammer, so that the wooden figure or statue, or in ornaments sculpture of wooden objects. This expression can also refer to the finished product, from individual sculptures to prints make up part of the decoration of a hand-work. Therefore, it is a hidden element in the history of art many open timber culture.
